The host where shadowdark and hence the unified forums physically moved the site to a new machine . this will give up greater speed connecticvity and all that stuff the webhosts like to brag about .. it also caused ikonboard to go insane .. the binary database is very touchy .. we were planning on moving it to mySQL at least for the transition but they moved the site befroe we had a chance too
.. so we were forced to re-install from a back up made yesterday morning .. this went much better in all than the server moves that caused these previous incarnation of the forums to be moved here and we seriously do not expect ANY other trouble of this magnitude in the future ..
please check you membership info, everything that i can see looks fine .. but there may be the odd bit of information that is off.
there is still some tweaking to do .. some stuff in the super admin section and and some just getting things squared away. like the banners CR made and the community list etc.

Man, they moved on that fast! Brad had given me warning, but I honestly wasn't expecting it to happen today. *chuckles* You know me, Queen of Procrastination....so, of course, I hadn't yet backed up the Palskane thread when the move took place. But, no harm done! Everything is intact. Wheee!
Are you still looking at moving it over to mySqueal at some point?

i think there is a database set up for it now, but after looking into it i think using the dbm files are the easiest and quickest way to go for our size .. it was mostly an option to try and avoid reintalling the entire board from scratch .. what happened today was really a fluke of a major physical move in the hosting company. something that won't happen again .. until next time ..

Sorry for the disruption. Thanks din for coming to the rescue. We will get things back up and running as quickly as possible.
I'm afraid the phpNuke system on ShadowDark.org took a direct hit. I have had to pay to have it fixed through two hacker attacks I'm not paying to have it fixed again. I will have to change the scope and purpose of the main site. I am not sure what that will be.
