Yule - by VampirePrincess on 19:00 14 Dec 2002
I existence of the pagan holiday does exist and still is honored till this day even by Christian in some form or another. Like christianity (however very diffrent) it associats with the birth of the "Divine King"... Its bascly the return of the sun. Since Yule is the darkest day of the year the pagans will worship the sun for its return. This belief been going on for thousands of years before the birth of Christ. It makes you wonder if the ancient Christians really are telling the truth or our they lying about everything and creating a new relgion based on the old relgion of the pagans. Who knows? But thats who I am. Unlike many Wiccans and neo pagans that sometimes believe in both worlds I however do not believe in Christianity and never will. Thats why paganism appeals to me more then ever. Anyway I still have to visit family for the holidays and still buy gifts however my heart lies in the druid relgion always.
