I'm sure that those of you who are hardcore SW fans are already aware of the Wilhelm Scream, but I figured I'd post this link so that all of you can enjoy the wonder.

This is the history of the sound bite used for that poor, unwitting stormtrooper who plummets into the pit before Luke and Leia swing across in SW. It's been used in Phantom Menace. It's also the cry of a luckless Nazi who falls from a car in Indiana Jones.

That is really cool.  I never knew that.  I know there are old movie props still in use from early times but you never think of sound clips for that.
