Since 1982 the English Department at San Jose State University has sponsored the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, a whimsical literary competition that challenges entrants to compose the opening sentence to the worst of all possible novels....

I've been reading through this year's entries and they are hilarious! I figured I'd share the link and the humor. :D (And, by the way, for those of you who may be wondering, Bulwer-Lytton was the man responsible for that oh-so-famous opening line, "It was a dark and stormy night.")
