Store Bookmarks Online - by Brad on 08:55 07 Dec 2003
A lot of us access the Web from computers both at work and at home and/or you might also have more than one computer at home.  So do you ever find that the site you bookmarked is on the other computer - the one you are not using?  If you have an account at Yahoo, I have a really easy solution.

Your Yahoo ID (the one you have for your Yahoo email account) will work for all of Yahoo's free services.   I use the My Yahoo start page as my browser home page because it lets me check the headlines I have specified, access my Yahoo email, check weather etc.  What I just found out is I can store my bookmarks there and make them appear on that My Yahoo start page!  This is really handy to have the same core set of bookmarks available to me on both my laptop and my desktop - I just login to My Yahoo and I have them.

The second benefit is that you have an off site backup of your bookmarks in case your HD crashes.  I have a lot of unique Admin panel login URL's that are a pain to reconstruct.  Now I can keep them online just in case.

I know this has been around for a long time I just never had the pressing need for it until now and I find it very handy.  Especially if you already use Yahoo email - you are already signed up all you have to do is customize.  Great for that home and office split.
