Should Star trek reruns continue on TV? or should they cancel it or make a another series. given that Star trek as a general has played over countless years.and people still watch it. but should it be canceled for other Sci-Fi shows or make a new series of star trek (not like Enterprise but sort of in the same aspect as STNG but a little more intriging.)Please I need some help on figuring this out

I definitely think that the original Star Trek should still run. It's a classic! But, that should not make it so that new, different sci-fi shows are made. Heck, I don't even think that showing reruns would be taking the place of new shows at all. After all, there are plenty of stations out there that run nothing but reruns....Boomerang shows all old cartoons, Nick-at-Night shows classic family/comedy shows...the old Star Trek will always have its place, I'm sure.

I enjoy the reruns of the original Trek so much that I'd like to see them continue. Of course I want to see new shows, but I think, in general, that, if anything, Trek reruns fuel the hunger of fans for more SF. I don't think it seriously hurts the changes of new shows being made.

I tend to agree with Kainja's point about reruns fueling the hunger for more. The reruns also expose kids toi Star Trek so that new generations grow up familier with the stories. Eventually one watches their way through all the reruns and craves more new material.
