Blackmask.com has added a bunch of classic pulp master Robert E. Howard's ebooks to their lineup. These books are absolutely free to download.
Howard is probably best known for his Conan the Barbarian stories, but he wrote so many other stories.
This is a great deal. For reading offline on your computer the Zipped format is really good. It is just an HTML file so it can be read with any browser. Unzip the file with a free trial of something like Winzip

I'm going to be reading some REH in the near future now that these are available (and free). I read some of the Conan books back in college and enjoyed them but I have not read his other stuff so I am looking forward to it.

Brad, of the non-Conan stuff available on Black Mask, the story from "Pigeons from ####" is a horror masterpiece. Stephen King considered it one of the top horror stories of last century. "The Valley of the Worm" is also a great adventure story. The Solomon Kane stuff is quite good too. "The Hour of the Dragon" is the full length Conan novel.

I'm starting to work my way through these. I read Worm last night and it was quite good. Reminds me of why I enjoyed those Conan books many years ago. I might tackle that horro story next.

The Howard short story (horror) "Pigeons from ####" is wonderful. It has all the classic elements that contemporary horror authors and movies use all the time. It's a good read.
