It's nice to be able to put a face with a name. We're starting to build a nice little community here, and we're getting new members as well.
I'd like to forward a motion to maybe set up a photo album of some sort. (democracy in action!)
I have no idea if something like this would be feasible, and I guess everyone could just set up a link, as VP has done, but it would be nice to have a place for us to post pics of ourselves.
Do I hear a second?

On another forum, a member took a free album on Webshots and asked everyone to post a picture of him/herself. Members of the forum could log in by knowing the password and so forth, which was posted. If you had the code and password, you could put on pictures. The trouble was, others can delete, and a few were that petty, and ruined the idea.
I'd set it up, but simply don't have the time at present. I don't think that would happen on this forum.
Of course, if my mug breaks a camera, I can't think of what it might do to the site.

Anyways, I'm in the same boat as you. I think I'd have to put up a warning/disclaimer before my pic for people to sit well away from their monitors. That way, nobody will end up dying all gruesome-like as they did in The Ring.

if it is something we want to do there are programs availible that can be run somewhere. i've a couple servers that a small photo album can be installed and i'm sure brad could be talked into doing something as well.
some common problems are having people get hold of a generic password. another is just the typical running something with an admin that needs looking after.
it could also be a place to post the odd character pics and things like that for the games.
make some suggestions about what you all would want. in terms of who can view, and who can post pics and all that. since it will be just for us we don't have to get too elaborate. we could even handle it 'by hand' like i do my button exchange. just let me know .. i'm to my ears in internet stuff that i'm itching to put off for a day or so .

Did you know you can post a photo of yourself in your personal profile? Just go to Your Control Panel >> Personal Info and you will see a place to enter the URL of your photo. The actual photo will be displayed in your profile.

In a way i want to put a picture but one of the joys of forums is getting jusged before someone sees you and makes pre-conceptions. dont want to shatter those illusions you peeps have about me. Wonder how accurate people would be about my appearance?? give it a go if you think you're hard enough!

yeah, that is true NC, i debated a little to put mine up. in many of the 'professional' forums i visit sometimes it is common for people to use pics as avatars. so the final decision was made when i thought . 'i'll give everybody an image so they know to run when they see me in RL'
