Alright, everybody! What's your favorite type of music? I don't want to limit this to favorite bands or artists, simply to genre.
If you were stuck on a desert island, and only had one type of music to have with you, what would it be?

My music tastes are all over the place.
Rock: Rolling Stones, Beatles, Boomtown Rats, Ramones, Areosmith and some 80's tunes.
Classical: All the warhorses.
Plus I like Sinatra, Crosby, Bobby Darin all that light jazz stuff from the 40's, 50's and early 60's.

Hmmm....one one type of music, eh? I actually enjoy a wide variety of styles but if I were to pick just one, I think I'd have to go with classical. I get tired of bands and whatnot after a bit, but classical is good all the time, regardless of how many times I hear it.
However, my current favorite is a one-man band by the name of VAST. (I capitalized it because it's an acronym. I don't remember what is stands for, though. Visual and Audio something or the other). Much like Enya (who is another favorite of mine) he does all of his own vocals and music, simply layering them one over the other to get the effect he wants. (Of course, I don't think Enya does her own music, but I know she does all the vocals.)

Mike Oldfield has some great music, albumns: Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge, and I think he did the soundtrack for "the Killing Fields". And of course Led Zepplin.
In classical music I tend to prefer the Romantic composers but I also like Mozart and particularly Haydn are excellent too.
