Mr. Rogers Dead at 74 - by Arislyn on 07:37 27 Feb 2003
The neighborhood is going to seem a lot less warm and friendly without Mr. Rogers around. I remember watching him when I was a kid. I know that he was a man just like any other and that he would eventually pass away, but it still feels odd. I guess it's because he was a childhood icon. There was sort of a timelessness about him, just like there is for the Sesame Street gang and Captain Kangaroo.

It is sad. I'm too old to have grown up with Mr. Rogers but he seemed to always put out a show with the real important values. What a shame.
