I watched the second Lara Croft movie.  I liked the first one and this one was okay but I don't think it was quite as good as the first.  It was a fun rental but I was starting to get a little bored with the formulaic story after awhile.

These movies are interesting in that they remind me of some of the James Bond movies only with a female lead and with mystical/fantasy elements.

The Tomb Raider movies seem to remind me of Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Laura Croft is a bit of an Indiana Jones character.  Though I can see some of the James Bond connections you mention.  I liked the second Tomb Raider OK.  Liked the scene where Laura is riding in the forest and taking target practice, but though it had more action than Tomb Raider 1 I think, also, that it wasn't quite as good.

Yeah you put that well.  I liked the horseback scene too.  It seemed like it was non-stop action but I think the movie suffered a little for it.  It was a nice distraction.  There was not as much mystery or thriller elements like in the first movie.
