I saw "I, Robot," this weekend.  I thought it was well worth the money.  A lot of action and several suprise twists.  Will smith did a good job as the lead actor and didn't do too much wise cracking, which he sometimes does.  This move combines ideas from several of Asimov's books, as well as from robot novels/stories of other authors.  I'll give it a solid recommendation.

Wow Kainja you surprised me, I expected you to pan it.  Good, I'm going to reconsider going to see it now.

I have to admit that from the film clips I have seen the special effects look good.

I ROBOT!

I can say I loved this movie.. "Wink Wink" ( Inside Joke ).

Will Smith was very good as the Cop after the baddies, However, I must say I really liked his sidekick lady scientist!!
She was not only attractive but kicked a little butt :D
My Boyfriend is still talking about her

I will not give too much away... but effects, storyline and filming were all very strong. ( I am a SCI fi FREAK, so I can be bias)

At any rate go see this movie!

O yah... This seems like a great forum!

I haven't yet seen this movie, but Im hoping to see it soon. It looks really cool.

And by looking at some of the reviews, I don't think I will be disapointed.

Welcome to Unified kimpossible. :)

This is starting to sound like the movie to see.  Do you think it needs to be seen onthe big screen or will it translate well on a TV screen?

Welcom, Kimpossible.

Brad, you asked a hard question.  Big screen versus small screen.  Since there is a pretty good "story-driven" quality to it, I think it might translate well to the small screen for a rental.  Some of the big robot scenes might lose a bit of intensity, but I think it would still be good.

I was surprised that I liked this film as much as I did.  Ive been disappointed with a lot of Sci-Fi and fantasy movies lately.  However I have not read the Asimov short story it was based on so I dont have any issues with the story line etc, maybe that makes a diff.

I was trepidatious about Will Smith as the lead - I kept thinking of the wise cracking in Independence day - but I agree with y'all that this was nicely kept to a bare minimum.

I got really attached to Sonny - which is scarey as he is anthropomorphised pixels, but his big wet eyes and human voice made me want him to live.  Its human nature but not the most rational way to decide on someone's/thing's character.

I've seen I Robot and I think it is a cool movie. Good storyline + Action I would give it 7/10. I thought the best part was when Spooner (kind of a wierd name I think) was trying to find that really smart robot that he thought killed that scientist guy in the lines of all the other normal ones.
