I subscribed to Illuminata about 9 months ago after they added their URL to Planet Doom.
Now I see a heck of a lot of ezines of various quality over the last few years but this one is a cut above the usual. It is in .pdf format so it looks great on any computer, its free, and it publishes on a regular monthly schedule, and the articles are darn good.
Every single issue so far has been good. Sometimes when you see something good you just have to pass it along. This one is a keeper. Therefore I am recommending subscribing to it.

Seems like a good one. As soon as I get a little time, Ill check it out more. I'm always writing for e-zines, so might contribute.
Another good one, fairly new, but with better than average quality is Surprising Stories . It has a couple of not-so-great stories, but all-in-all it's been pretty good. I have a story in the new one, and made the cover for the last one.

The current issue of Illuminata has the first of a 5 part series on Star Trek that is well written. I'm still reading as I have time. I think you can download the issue direct from the website. I suggest you grab it and also subscribe so you get the future issues. Fun stuff.
Admiral: Great cover! Surprising stories format reminds me of vintage Analog back in my youth. Looks like it has some good short stories.

I did the May - Aug cover, not this one. They're getting a lot better at it. I'm learniing a lot since I'll have to redo the covers of 90 books, since eNovel went belly-up. I really don't have the time, but whatcha gonna do?

I have to agree that the Illuminata is pretty good. Especially since I'm a regular columnist for that newsletter. Bret, the editor, is an all around nice guy, and a darn good editor to boot.
