I started reading a book by R. M. Meluch called "chicago red." Anyone ever read it? It's an older book, 1990, set in a future America after some kind of holocaust has destroyed the old civilization. The new civilzation is a kind of mixture of old and modern technology, with a king who is pretty much a tyrant, and a revolution that is about to begin. The book started off quite slow and I almost put it down, but it picked up very well after the prologue and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Have not hear of it. I like the post armagedon genre - I read a lot of Andre Norton as a kid and she had that theme in many books.
