I'm not sure if I'd mentioned this before, but the horror author Charles Grant is very ill and needs everyone's best wishes.  I've not met Charles Grant personally, although I know his wife somewhat.  But I have read many of his books and always enjoyed them, such works as Night Songs, Bloodwind, and the Oxrun Station books and stories.  He has also been an editor who helped many writers get a break.  He edited the long running Shadows series, and a number of individual anthologies, such as Horrors, Nightmares, etc.

A group of writers is putting together an anthology called Small Bites to raise money to help with Mr. Grant's hospital costs.  I have a story called "Goodies" accepted for that anthology, and I understand they are hoping to get it out pretty soon.

Anyway, just thought I'd give folks an update on horror events that I'm familiar with.

Thanks Kainja for the news.  The name Charles Grant is familier to me.  I think I read Nightsongs.  I am sorry to hear he is ailing.

I hope you will let us know when the benefit anthology comes out.

I was thinking the same thing, Brad. That name does sound familiar. Didn't he post here at some point? Or, maybe I just heard the name mentioned here, before.

Definitely let us know when the book comes out. We'll be sending healing thoughts his way.

Edit: Oh, no....I was thinking of Charles Gramlich. Heh. That's you, isn't it Kainja?
