Have any of you guys heard of Goldie Lookin' Chain.  They are 12 Welsh hiphop cheep tracksuit wearing stoners and Ive been waiting for their debut single for ages.  I was not dissappointed.
"Guns dont kill people, rappers do
Sound of da police, woo woo woo"
Its not really the same without the tune and Welsh accents.

Basically its a silly song with the message: yes rappers are in the headlines connected with gun crime, but just cos I listen to the music aint gonna make me a gun weilding psycho.  Or maybe its just a silly song

Full lyrics:
Look, guns don’t kill people rappers do,
Ask any politician and they'll tell you its true,
It’s a fact music makes you violent,
Like Michael Jackson telling little Timmy to be silent,
You don’t believe me, Here's my hype,
Offer me the record and I’ll show you the type ,
of criminal this rap shit is breeding,
It’s the fact that Mc Hammer left me bleeding,
Vanilla Ice made my mother say fuck,
If I stuck by UB40 then I would 'a be in luck,
But I didn’t I got it wrong,
Cypress fucking Hill told me to make a fucking bong,
Well, I started. I bought another tape,
The Power by Snap made cock and balls ache,
So remember kids, to the head double tap,
Guns don’t kill people, it's just raP.

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
(sound 'a the police woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
(sound 'a the police woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
I seen it on in documentary on BBC 2,
Shot to death outside hyper value,
Guns blazing, like Michael Caine in Zulu,
Government statistics are sometimes misleading,
The type of criminal rap is breeding,
Shot in the chest, No-wonder you stopped breathing,
2-4 to base, over. are you receiving?
Remember rap tracks in '87? Scot the Rock's up in hip-hop heaven,
Biggie and 2pac R.I.P, Even Jam Master J's in the cemetery.

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
(sounda the police, woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
(sounda the police, woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
I'm a fucking rapper and I might kill you,
As a rapper I'm teaching you a lesson,
AK-47, To Smith-and-Wesson,
Just say 'no', Just like Zammo,
Bullet-proof vest, To guns and ammo,
Hip hop gangster trippin',
Even Eminem's into pistol whippin',
S’like Cluedo, murder one,
P-Diddy J-Lo in a nightclub with a gun,
Heard Snoop Dogg now wants to bust a cap,
Guns don’t kill people, it's just rap,

1-2, Your face, my shoe,
My name’s Mike Balls and I'm coming though,
Gun-crime, stabbing and burgalarisation,
It's on the rise all across the nation,
The safety’s off and the pistol's aimed,
The yardies and the mafia always get blamed,
Politicans ashamed, and they haven’t got a clue,
Rap is more deadly than fucking Kung-Fu,

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
(sounda the police, woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people, Rappers do,
(sounda the police, woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people, rappers do,
From Bristol zoo, to B&Q,
I wanna rap, I wanna rhyme,
Heard it in a song now I’m into gun crime,
It’s a sign of the times, like Prince changing his name,
Got to have a shooter to be in the rap game,
Like Micheal Ryan, about to snap,
Guns don’t kill people, it's just rap.

Guns don’t kill people,
Rappers do,
(sounda the police, woo woo woo)

Guns don’t kill people,
Rappers do,
(sounda the police, woo woo woo)

Guns, Rappers, Guns, Rappers,
Guns, Rappers, Guns.

I adore Goldie Lookin Chain.  Also, I am lucky enough that because my dad is a radio presenter (only local radio, but still) I get signed copies of all of their records months in advance.  Have listened to some of their other records, its rather difficult to take thir message in "Guns don't...." very seriously though!!!!!

My favourite track by them is "Half Man, Half Machine".  Its about a normal welsh guy who thinks he has turned into a robot, when in fact he has covered himself in tinfoil..........  Its unbeleivably funny, though the radio edit makes little sense (so much of the song is swearing).

By the way, in this years British "Guinness Book of Hit Singles and Albums", GLC are the example at the very beginning, where the key is explained, and although the chart record is invented, all of those are real song titles.......
